Previous shows
8-25-12 @ St. Viator's Rock The Lot
4-20-12 @ Ye Olde Town Inn in Mt. Prospect
4-15-12 @ Fizz in Chicago - fundraiser for New Millennium Theatre
1-25-12 @ Ye Olde Town Inn in Mt. Prospect - Poochie's 40th bday bash.
8-13-11 @ JoZoara in Murfreezeboro, TN. Monty & Kodos (on keyboard) as
they sing the new album...as a duo.
5-28-11 @ Finn McCool's - Poochie on drums as we opened for the awesome
Flaming Dames. Couldn't stick around for them though, Homer had to do
behind the scene stuff for Cubicle: The Office Space Musical immediately
afterward. What a night!
5-??-10 @ Nerds At Heart event at Holiday Club - Goons did three songs on
acoustic for the Nerds At Heart dating site.
4-10-10 @ Harry Caray's - part of NEXT YEAR IS HERE, hosted by The Heckler
and Rick Telander (whose band, the Del Crustaceans, followed us). Also,
Improv Olypic did a short set before we took the stage. POOCHIE filled in
on drums. Then he had to go, his planet needed him...
3-26-10 @ Hotti Biscotti - Kodos' "last show" (for now?). One last quickly
thrown together gig to celebrate our awesome (almost) four years with
Kodos.
3-6-10 @ Murphy's Bleachers - Homer's bday party. Lots of new songs.
2-3-10 @ Reggie's - opened for Live Band Karaoke, blew our voices out
singing with Live Band Karaoke. Played a lot of new material, and also
Krusty's first show as official band member.
11-14-09 @ Red Line Tap - Krusty on guitar again.
10-31-09 @ Buena Park, courtesy of National Pastime Theatre. We rocked out
doors with Mike (no Goons name given, sorry!) as kids passed by, trick or
treating. It was pretty wild.
10-2-09 @ Underground Lounge. Krusty on guitar.
8-19-09 @ Mutiny w/ The Shunts & Ungrateful Punks. Krusty filled in on
guitar. Lots of fun at this show!
7-15-9 @ Reggie's - the 18 & over stage! Yay!
5-2-09 @ G-Mart Comics as part as Free Comic Book Day
3-27-09 @ Hot Topic (HIP, Norridge) - semi-"acoustic" set where we still
managed to run wild. A good time was had by all as Homer tried to convince
some toddlers that Mastodon was better than the Jonas Bros. We were sadly
Otto-less for this show, but Paul from The Help Desk filled in nicely.
3-15-09 @ Reggie's 21 & over stage (Chicago) - Part of a St. Patty's day
party. Rocked hard.
3-5-09 @ Cobra Lounge (Chicago) - played (and butchered) Sea Shanty for
the first time. Monty, Homer, Otto and Kodos were mysteriously replaced
with Cobra Commander, Destro, Zartan & the Baroness.
2-7-09 @ Gasthaus (Elgin) - with our new friends in Incesticide (a Nirvana
tribute)
1-30-09 @ Murphy's Bleachers (Chicago) - played with The Family Band from
Texas Chainsaw Musical - played Diggin' The Grave for the first time.
12-31-08 @ Silvie's (Chicago) - last minute gig starring Life Like Fire
(Kang's band), celebrating 2 years of Hired Goons!
12-13-08 @ Fantasy Lounge (Chicago) - with Four Letter Words, first time
we played BYOBB & The Truth About Carl.
10-31-08 @ Gallery Cabaret (Chicago) - Rocking out Venture Bros. (Monarch)
style, and Monty proposes to Maggie! (She said yes.)
10-30-08 @ Quenchers (Chicago) - A Misfits Vs. Ramones setup with several
rowdy drunk bands. Goons kicked a lot of ass and showed them all how it's
done.
9-25-08 @ Hottie Biscotti (Chicago) - Rocked out hard to a crowd
of...well, it was small, but hey, we got to meet supergoonie Adam R. who
got us the Gallery show the next month and has been righteously seeing us
at almost every gig. He's awesome like that.
8-9-08 @ Mix (Chicago) - our CD release show. Almost a disaster; the
original club cancelled a few days prior, and Homer almost lost the use of
his right hand a few weeks prior. We pulled this one out of our hat and
had a full house and rocked it down. Oh, and Otto had gout, so we gave
him a hard time about it.
7-18-08 @ Brauer House (Hillside) - Okay, see the shirts we're wearing
on the album cover? Monty bought those for the band, and then whoever
made them stopped making them. They had our Marvel Comics names on the
back (mine was Norman, Monty as Parker, Kodos as Jean, Otto as Logan)
and they were really cool. Well, Otto wore it that night, was boiling
during the show and took the shirt off. He realized a few days later that
he left the shirt there...and so when he was about to head out to pick it
up, he found out the place burned down! We were all bummed. But it was a
good gig and the people there liked us. Oh well.
3-17-08 @ Reggie's Music Joint (Chicago) - Rockin' St. Patty's day, mere
hours after finishing the mix for Everything's Coming Up Milhouse.
2-27-08 @ Tonic Room (Chicago) - We piled on loads of new material this
night, getting ready for the studio!
11-18-07 @ The Spot (Chicago) - home of the Flaming Dames. Played Stupid
Sexy Flanders for the first time I think.
10-27-07 @ Silvie's (Chicago) - We rocked out as Ghostbusters. Kang's
band also played this night.
7-26-07 @ Silvie's (Chicago) - The beginning of a hopefully long
relationship with this club. The night before the Simpsons Movie too!
6-9-07 @ McCauliff's (Racine) - Cruised up to Wisconsin to rock out
hard. Loads of fun.
5-10-07 @ The Mutiny (Chicago) - Lots of good friends stuck around for us
as we waited and waited for the band before us to play their last
song...oh wait, one more song...okay, one more song...okay, now get off
the stage please. And then we had FIFTEEN MINUTES TO PLAY. And Monty said
to Homer, "oh, I can't talk right now" as we took the stage! But we still
rocked it out.
4-7-07 @ Penny Road Pub (South Barrington) - our first club
gig, we had to learn about an hour's worth of material within a week.
Also, first time we played original material (I Like Revenging, Milhouse,
Use The Forks, The Homer).
12-31-06 @ Kodos & Kang's house - first gig! Otto joined Hired Goons the
day before! Lots of fun, surprisingly very few mistakes, lots of good
times with good friends!
